Heian Yondan (Heian No.4)
Kote-uke, Kosa-uke, Hiji sasae uke, and
simultaneous blocking and the front kick
can be learned from this kata. For example,
after having made a front kick, execute
back fist strike. It is necessary to have
excellent balance in the cross-leg stance
(Kosa-dachi).
The number of movements is twenty-eight,
and the time required is about forty seconds.
This kata is practiced in the fifth kyu
level.
